Contested Legacies. Central and Eastern European and Southern European competing narratives on authoritarian lieux de memoire

  • June-September 2022: Project kick-off: Online seminar attended by all researchers involved in the platform. Discussing project timetable, goals, outputs, and their implementation.
  • October 2022-November 2022: Two online seminars with experts; Seminars on contested heritage of authoritarian/totalitarian systems in Europe will be conducted by invited eminent experts.
  • December 2022-December 2023: Online workshops/lectures for students and PhD candidates. Lectures/workshops for MA students and PhD candidates will be held remotely once a month. Each of the project partners will give a lecture or conduct a workshop on a topic related to the issue of the disputed heritage of authoritarianism from the perspective of their own country. We plan to organise ten online meetings from December 2022 to December 2023. Lectures will be held during the academic year, excluding the summer break.
  • June 2023: International Conference in Krakow, Poland.
  • November 2023: Deadline for submission of final chapters for the volume.
